Allison Poon

Allison is a philanthropic professional with over 15 years of experience in grants management. As Grants Manager at Waverley Street Foundation, she oversees the grantmaking process and supports system administration to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Prior to joining Waverley, Allison worked at Tides and Hewlett Foundations, facilitating grantmaking for a wide range of partners and programs. She is committed to developing strong systems and processes that would enable Waverley to empower their grantees and allow them to focus on their work in their communities.

Allison graduated from UCLA with Bachelor degrees in Sociology and German, and holds a Master’s degree in Gerontology from San Francisco State University. She enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, visiting museums and gardens, baking and cooking, and creating handicrafts.
