Nathan Jayappa

Nathan brings a deep belief in the power of numbers to tell stories, build trust, and create impact. His finance career spans foundations, public charities, startups, and impact investing, including supporting agricultural enterprises in East Africa. Before joining Waverley Street, he led finance at Hopelab, a private operating foundation supported by the Omidyar Group. Nathan plays a key role at Waverley Street in strengthening financial infrastructure and partnering across teams to ensure resources are aligned with values and deployed effectively.

Nathan finds joy in empowering teams to feel confident and connected to their finances so they can make better decisions and drive meaningful change in the communities they serve and beyond. Outside of spreadsheets, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and kids, including hiking Bay Area trails, gardening, and baking pizzas in his backyard.
