Stephan Avanozian

Stephan Avanozian serves as IT Manager at Waverley Street Foundation, where he leads the organization’s technology strategy and operations in collaboration with the Head of Grants Management & IT and external technology partners. He supports secure infrastructure and digital tools that advance the Foundation’s mission. Drawing on over 25 years’ experience in IT, Stephan ensures platforms for collaboration, data management, and communication enable staff to work effectively across programs and operations.

Before joining Waverley Street, Stephan served as IT Manager at the Animal Legal Defense Fund, focusing on systems administration, IT support, and organizational resilience. He brings deep expertise in enterprise environments, cloud optimization, and cybersecurity practices that help mission-driven organizations operate with confidence and reliability.

Stephan holds MCSE, MCSA, and CIP certifications. He lives in Northern California, where he leads a nonprofit initiative in his spare time, providing free guitar instruction and instruments to youth, fostering creativity, confidence, and meaningful community engagement.
