Samantha Wright

Samantha Wright leads strategic communications at Waverley Street Foundation, where she harnesses storytelling and campaigns to shift systems, shape public narratives, and accelerate community-driven climate solutions.

She brings nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of media, policy, and culture. At Participant, she led campaigns that turned films like Dark Waters, American Factory, and Judas and the Black Messiah into engines for policy reform and cultural change. At Earth Alliance, she led first-of-its-kind audience research to guide climate storytelling and strengthen narrative strategy across sectors. Earlier, as an impact producer, she led campaigns for Girl Rising and Chasing Coral—bringing together storytellers, organizers, and partners to mobilize action across borders and movements.

She holds an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford and lives in Berkeley, CA, raising two small humans who remind her that imagination isn’t just part of the work—it’s where it begins.
