Twisha Mehta

Title
Director of Learning & Evaluation, Global

Twisha stewards strategic learning at Waverley Street Foundation, where she cultivates an organizational and programmatic learning culture grounded in the values of joy, imagination, inspiration, and collaboration. She brings a systems lens to help global program teams reflect, make sense of complexity, and evolve their work in real time.

Before joining Waverley, Twisha led the Strategy, Learning, & Impact practice at Humanity United. She curated the foundation’s annual learning convening—a space for staff, grantees, and partners to collectively reflect and share insights. Twisha also co-created the Epistemic Justice Fund, an effort aimed at shifting philanthropy toward more inclusive and regenerative practices of strategy, learning, evaluation, and futures. Her approach centered community wisdom, lived experience, and diverse ways of knowing.

With over 15 years of experience across foundations, nonprofits, and social enterprises, Twisha has supported organizations to design strategies, reflect on their impact, and navigate complexity with intention. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Rutgers College and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University. Outside of work, Twisha finds joy in hiking, trying new vegan recipes, and exploring local farmers markets.
